National Influenza Vaccination Week (NIVW) is December 6-12, 2020 and flu vaccines are encouraged for everyone age 6 months and older. Each year the CDC observes NIVW, a national awareness week that focuses on the importance of getting an influenza vaccination, especially for those with certain chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes and heart disease. This year it’s is more important than ever, especially given the possibility that the flu virus and the virus that causes COVID-19 will spread this winter.
- To do our part, Health & Wellness (H&W) is hosting a flu vaccine Tent Event to provide flu vaccines to retirees and their spouses/partners.
- Two “Ingredients for Health” tents will be set up—one at the H&W entrance, and the other in the small parking lot outside H&W.
- Stop by either tent on Tuesday, December 8 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. to receive your flu vaccine.
